*Sitting up, she wipes the tears from her eyes with her hands*

*She looks at the little bottle with suspicion and picks it up and removes the stopper and sniffs*


PPphhhheew! *wrinkles her nose*.. You want me to drink that??


oooohhhh...!! *stomach lurches as the ship rises suddenly on a wave*


OKAY!!!!..... *drinks it down in one gulp*... *pulls a face at the disgusting taste*


*sits quietly for a moment*


Jack?

What is bothering you? Please tell me....


*waits for him to turn round*

*turns his head slightly back to her*

Are you feeling any better?

*watches him.. she trying to gauge his mood....*


erm... yes.. I think I do...


Jack?

What's wrong?


*slides off the bed and begins to walk towards him*

*he turns round and twitches a smile at her*

Nothing Lilandra, just thinking. Now, do you feel well enough to go out on deck or do you wish to remain here?

*She is still uncertain of his mood*


I.. I feel.. okay.. Perhaps I should come and apologise to that Assassin.. *smile*... He startled me.. following me around like that!



*moves to the washbasin and swill her face... and freshens her mouth*

*opens the cabin door*

Jack?.. Are you coming?

*he steps foward and takes her hand*

Yes, lets take a look outide shall we?

*he leads her to the door and steps out onto the deck*

*smiling brilliantly she follows*

*blinks*

*Lilandra tries to clear her head. Her memories are confused, she is certain Liquid brought her back here... then who changed her clothes? She looks at her nightgown, but nothing is making sense*

*she falls back to sleep again*

*the captain moves back in silently and lays himself down next to Lilandra, brushing the hair from her sleeping face*

Someone is feeling over protective of you *smiles to himself* am I not trusted then?

*he searches her sleeping face then rests his head against her arm*

*turns in her sleep and nestles into Jack*


*blinks*

Jack?

*He smiles at her and wraps and arm about her*

You have someone protecting you, maybe you do not need me anymore

*half asleep ..misunderstanding what he is saying*


What?... Where are you going?.. Jack you can't leave me!

Ssssh Sssh Lilandra I am not going anywhere

*he holds her closer against his chest*

*she listens to his heart beating and falls asleep again*

*holds her in his arms and begins to sing quietly to her under his breath*

Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and grey
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colours on the snowy linen land

*Lilandra dreams of her homeland and weeps softly in her sleep*

*the captain brushes the hair from her face again in a habitual movement, and falls into a restless sleep next to her*

*Lilandra wakes with a dull headache... her dreams have made her restless... she turns over and Jack is lay watching her*

*he smiles sleepily and strokes the hair from her face*

Good morning Lilandra, did you sleep well?

*he frowns in concern*

*Her eyes cloud over with the memories of her dreams*


Sort of..... I have a headache, I think I will walk on deck, perhaps that will shift it....


I feel very tired... can you please pass me my dressing robe out of the wardrobe behind you....


*she winces as she moves her head*
