I'm very tempted by this but prolly wouldn't make it back to croydon for our dinner booking either A on time or B in any fit state to eat anywhere nicer than a kebab house

Much as I don;t approve of this sort of thing, and have never previously felt the need to sit in the pub for the afternoon preparing for the evening event, I think I might dip my toe in the water of the pub-based afternoon activity this time.

I was planning a walk round London, taking in the banks of the Thames, Q gardens, a stop off for a bite to eat, then a museum or two in the early afternoon and perhaps a short early evening concert or play...
But, you say there is a pub? tricky.

I can't ... the whole point of going for a meal was that Ged and Savannah can't drink and I want them there not feeling left out, carole's not big on booze either, Genie wants to eat and we thought wed all try being grown ups for a night

It's not a h2g2 meet, I'm afriad, although if you want to come along I'm sure nobody would mind. It's the group of people that I work with at Petereborough beer festival. One thing I can't offer, however, is bed space as we're fully booked out with Peterborough people.
