There is not much biographical data on Uncle Shelby on the net. Anyone who has any information would be appreciated.

Lovely piece about a great man. Can you possibly suss a couple of links out - perhaps to the Dr.Hook site and so on. I know there's one around, but I've not been able to latch onto it yet, it's out there somewhere. Check the spelling out in some places, but if this gets offered up to the sub's, I reckon they could do the business for you! I like this; we need more stuff about people like Shel...*thinks about Roger McGough and wanders off to 'ave a look round*.
