I first came to hootoo in May 2001, like many others, upon hearing about the death of Douglas Adams . I was amazed by what DNA had created here, and still am. I hope its all still here in 8 years time...
Err, I just wanted to leave something, like a "you have been read" holder. Writers are glad to hear they have an audience right? I realised the other day that I have read huge amounts of stuff in hootoo, in the EG, in the UG, in peoples spaces, and indeed lots of The Post, and never acknowledged the fact by posting anything. This is mainly due to not having much beyond "you have been read" and "I found your article/story/entry really interesting/entertaining/thought-provoking" to really say, but then it occurred to me (I am not very good at noticing obvious stuff apparently) that thats actuallz quite a lot, so I have decided to try and change my invisible lurking habits a bit.
So I am starting here . I have often come across your writing here on h2g2, and regularly find time to read it. Thus, I am glad you still feel at home here TR, me too.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
