Brilliant! (too bad he's been dead for quite a while now)

'Round up the usual suspects' - one of the best lines of all times.

It's this role that brought him to mind: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0024184/

smiley - cool

Wow, he's been dead for almost 40 years!

...Which actually means he'd make a perfect nighthoover, since he doesn't really need to show up at all. smiley - biggrin

Lady Pennywhistle - Back with a vengeance! [for a certain, limited value of Vengeance; actual amounts of Vengeance may vary]

smiley - ermProblem is I don't think the movie would have that much of a plot... I mean, what do you have besides a bunch of insane people spending way too much time on their computers?

Maybe we should start by making a Night of the Hoover movie - that way we can attract some audience, which will of course turn into devoted nighthooverite believers, at which point they'll watch practically anything. smiley - biggrin

(Interior, view out the window to reveal a dark and stormy night)

Camera tilts down from rain splattered window to keyboard of computer. Fingers type slowly.

Slow tilt up and over to computer screen where the words slowly take form in a Hootoo text window:

"i want 2 cancel this account what 2 do"

Dimly reflected in the screen is an odd face, indistinguishable at first but then as it begins to almost radiate it's own blue-green light seems to change into a myriad of faces. Like the very internet that pulses on the other side of the screen the face reflects everyone, everyhow, everywhen.

Cut to carpet level shot where the very nap of the floor covering is it's own jungle, complete with cracker crumb boulders and cat hair vines. Music swells as a deep thrumming hum increases and credits appear magically amidst the detrius of the rug. The hoover passes over this part of the floor, sucking up some of the dust dirt and grime as well as the first set of credits.

"Badger Pictures Presents...."

After those words are sucked into the mighty hoover, the next appear.

"NIGHTHOOVER - THE MOVIE"

And so on until all credits have appeared and been sucked.

The camera slowly tilts up to show the shadowy silouette of someone operating the hoover, back lit by the huge full moon seen through the window.

Cut to:

Scene One.
