For what it's worth, over in http://www.h2g2.com/A292349 (Portsmouth), in the 'Portsmouth Researchers' thread, a number of researchers are plotting a visit to the greyhound stadium, at a to-be-determined date and time.
I shall be there, if we ever do arrange anything, camera in hand to record the event for h2g2 (whether h2g2 wants it recorded or not).
