so i guess i jsut dont watch the right movies...

I /have/ to assume you're being sweet, pure and innocent. I'm too vulnerable for anything else right now. Besides, I'm still trying to recover from the last time I was emotionally attached to someone 30,000 km away.
This is why I'm trying to keep my frustration under wraps by keeping my hands busy with other projects, rather than having them busy with, er... other projects.

...Something for the rec lounge sounds good... possibly a home theatre system would be a bit surreal on a viking longship!
But a Hneftafl table would go down well, I think!

From what I remember the movies were rubbish anyway. You haven't missed out on anything.

and sometimes thats quite unfortunate because that means i stand there looking confused at somethings...

and i'm emotionally attached to all of my friends... i cant help it... wetehr i've net them or not. thats jsut me... jsut not emotionally attached in that way

The second thing is just like a table with a game board built into it; like those chess tables you see. Hneftafl is an ancient viking board game. Quite easy to play... I'll show you when it's done, if you like.

yeah. not enough people understand that. and i thnink i probably creep some people out when i'm trying to explain myself... but its not my fault that tehy dont understand!
i love all of my close friends. and i'd do anything for them. and i had a sad thought the other day... no one would do anything for me if i needed it. darn being a loyal and nice person! why arent there more people like that!!???

Not sure what you think the difference is between a movie theatre and an entertainment centre, but I reckon an entertainment centre is better; cheaper to build, and can have movies AND videos AND music AND interactive games AND um... stuff. I'm already building the table, though... I'll save the rest until we know what we want (hint, hint! )

i know a movie theater is expensive... but what do we care.. we never pay for anything.... and besides i think it would be a nice project. well disciss it like we did our castle... and then we'll make a thearter.... jsut for fun...
but we can do both if you like...

I'm not fazed by the cost of a movie theatre; it's just that an entertainment unit is pretty much the same thing done in a slightly different way, so that it's more versatile and cheaper.
Basically they both have places for an audience to sit, they have a projector area, speakers set up for 3D sound, and a screen to watch. We could certainly get a 35mm to digital tracker, and that way we could watch cinema-quality movies as well as DVD-quality ones, but there really isn't any point in having two seperate areas because they both have pretty much the same bits.

I was thinking we could use the curve of the boat's side as the tiers for the seating; I could put some long benches in or something. We already have a bar there on the right hand side, so we're pretty sorted for drinks and snacks and stuff. Tanzen mentioned having a stage for plays, which could be kinda cool, but I'm a bit worried about how much space we take up. Having a stage would also be good for bands, and the projector screen just rolls up out of the way so that's no problem. The video projector of course just hangs from the ceiling so it's never in the way... same with the speakers too... um. Am I missing anything?

well that all soind sright to me.

why dont we get an entertainment room or something... we dont want to crowd the rec room.... that way we can have a theater, entertainment unit, movie theater... all sorts of stuff... and we can put it next to the rec room so people can easily go to the bar and stuff.
