BTW: apologies for not posting so long!
I had a bit of a rough time at my job. It's a long sad story but it might me enough to say that I got fired from a job I had been headhunted (!) for only 6 months ago. And I was NOT fired because I did a lousy job but because the company doesn't make enough money anymore and they had to lay off a lot of their personnel (the German word ist "betriebsbedingte Kündigung". I don't know if a snappy English expression exists...).
