You are so right.When I first moved to England from Czech Republic at the age of 18 i was amazed at how you spoke - it sounded like singing but as i now consider it my mother tongue i have got used to it - hard though and took a long time!

I'm glad you agree! I've obviously been speaking it as a mother tongue all my life, and though my parents always made a joke about how confusing the language could be, it was not until I started learning foreign languages that I actually realised how difficult it must be! smiley - smiley
I'm not surprised it took a long time to learn. A really hard thing, that I've not gone into depth about, is the fact that English has so many words for one thing! (e.g. the word happy: joyful, estatic, pleased, content, etc) Was that hard for you to pick up?
