A spell is cast and now I know

A hearts fondness it will grow

An enchantment strong is woven wise

To make you stronger in my eyes

Your novel ways are never clear

But I come to you and know no fear


I wish I knew how to break free

Of this hex that sits on me

I wish to know how your heart lies

Or a thousand things in disguise

Would you tell me if you knew?

Or keep it as a secrete true?


I walk along the path of light

Love and happiness in my sight

I hope you walk along with me

But if not soon we shall see


A question we did often jest

Maybe that was for the best

But I wish to know if it was asked for real

Would you tell me how you feel?

If I asked you the one thing then

Where would we stand on what path or den?


I read and learn and hope I know

Where my heart wants me to go

I would like to help you find

What it is you would decide

But alas the skill I have not

To read your mind and guide your thought
