I know editors have a rule about not linking entries that are going to be in the EG with unedited entries but I thought you might like to see a bit of nostalgia about an old American Folk Singing Coffeehouse.
The article is A690662 keep up the good work. Your article looks great.

Are you still working on this?
If I haven't already commented on this entry somewhere in the backlog, I'll just say that I liked it; well done.
You'll be wanting to do some guideML links for the 'linked entries' section at the end, too.
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

I haven't re-visited this Entry for some time. I enjoyed it when first written, and could see its potential. I admired Fraggle for attempting such an ambitious Entry, but couldn't see how to help him 'massage' it into a suitable form. Having now returned to it I can see you've made an excellent job of summarising succintly what folk musivc is and is about .
However, I think there is still some work to be done. In particular:
The standard for the EG is not to have capitals, so HUUGE, should be in italics or emboldened.
Also, the links at the end need to be hyperlinked.
I also think that there is scope for more hyperlinks within the text. I tried 'Oyster Band' but there is only an unedited Entry on this. However, I'm sure there's others.

Here is a just a small list of h2g2 Entries to which you could/should hyperlink:
Wales A580303
sIR gAWAIN a532270
Mandola A516737
Peter Gabriel A442810
Paul Simon A526664
Punk music in Britain A791336
Scottish Music A106137
Perhaps the first sentence could link s'how to, 'Popular Music Genres' A337024 (BTW How did this Entry ever enter the EG without mentioning 'Folk' and several (many?) other genres?).

I recognise this entry did have just a tad more work to be done, but that presumably can be attended to by the sub. I've had my eye on this entry for a while, waiting for it to get good enough to recommend, and bearing in mind our present dearth of entries, I thought it was ok to be recommended.
I personally don't think things like 'HUUUGE' aren't all that big of an issue. I like the colloquial style that creates. It seems like the right idea for the Guide: factual entries that aren't entirely serious. It's part of what makes us a bit different from sites like Wikipedia.
Anyway, I think this is an excellent entry comparatively speaking, and it certainly deserves a place in the EG, filling a spot about a very important genre of music. (yes, some personal bias there, but still...)

Yay! I'm in the Guide! I'm in the Guide! I knew you all loved me really...
Seriously though, will all the linky-type gubbins be done by the sub? I've totally forgotten Zarquon's Singing Fish's GuideML tutorial. Probably on the thread somewhere.
Thanks for all the feedback and advice - I really appreciate it. I'd like to thank my mum and dad, the dog, my stylist and hairdresser...
Still need more Suggetsted Listening stuff. Give it to me...

Hmmmm I can see your point BigAl, the small things you mention, like the caps and double quotes are the type of things I tend to point out, (I'm not guilty of 'telling you off' though ) but I missed seeing this Entry, and no-one else pointed them out.
I think it often depends on how many Entries an Author has already put through the PR process, you and I have done a few, so we tend to get 'picked up' on more points, as this was fraggle's first PR Entry, some points were 'let by'
It's not that unusual for an entry that needs some works from the Sub-Ed to be picked and accepted (remember, this Entry has been accepted by the Editors) I get the impression that most Sub-Eds prefer an Entry that is as near to ready as possibly, and I think most of the time they get just that. This one will give them a challenge.
Though, fraggle may not be 'let off so lightly' with his next Entry
