I commit to the expectations, within the remit that:

I cannot make this a guaranteed prerequisite as, being a fully rounded and perfectionist researcher, I cannot guarantee to fulfil that requirement, However I will guarantee to be working on at least one major treatise at any one time which can be checked by any HooToo-er at any time, on my personal space, as it will be open for inspection on my 'Guide Entries!'

I hope that covers my obligations. W*rk and other interruptions prevent further inclusions but with Meet attendance and Nodnol afternoon meet activities to organise, I am kept busy enough! As well as any Nodnol mini-meets for any incomers... all welcome!

The reason I put that in, MMF, is that we need 30 Edited Entries per fortnight to keep the Front Page running with three per day. That has to be our goal, and is key to our survival. With 20 Researchers working to these aims, we can build a queue again with extra entries being chipped in from other Researchers. My idea is that we can build a core of Researcher/Writer/Reviewers who are active in all three disciplines. In fact, we *need* those twenty, or we won't be here much longer. It's that critical.

So it may sound harsh, but I'm going to have to turn you down. If you could write one of those 400 bird entries every fortnight, you'd be in like a shot. The key is, though, we have to have enough entries for the Front Page and enough of a surplus to build the queue. And we can't do that by having people who aren't writing as the 'core of 20', if you like.

That probably sounds really, really mean, and I'm sorry if it does. The main thing we need, though, is Entries. If we don't get them, we're in serious danger of losing the site. If you can't quite manage an Entry a fortnight, I'd much rather say no until such time as you can, so at least you have something to aspire to. Does that make sense?

If this puts you off, shout right away. This is just an idea, and I'm open to suggestions. The last thing I'd want to do is discourage you. What I hope is that a few people like you will say 'actually, with a bit more work I could do one a fortnight...' Kick the hell out of me if I'm wrong - we need everyone right now.

Limited perhaps, but there are a *lot* of bird species you can write Entries about. They can be knotted together in classifications later. Short Entries are fine, the point is to get them into review.

Incidentally, give me the thread of your update entry if you still want it to go forward - maybe I can take a look and refresh some ideas
