David Bowie as the creepy Goblin King, all those Jim Henson Puppets. I giant freaky orangutan called Ludo. A fairy tale story that takes you thorugh strange and diverse worlds, and a soundtrack written by the man mentioned above. What more could you want?

I used to watch this all the time when I were a wee bairn. Then last year I saw it on DVD and bought it immediately. It must be 'cult' by now. Anyone else?

Yes yes. One of my favourite films. Also the first film I ever saw at the cinema.

Picked up a VHS double pack of Labrynth and The Dark Crystal at a SF fair a few years ago, brought the memories flooding back.

"you have thirteen hours to solve the labrynth, or your baby brotehr becomes one of us forever".

The shot of Hoggle and Sarah climbing out of the pot was one of my favourite headfxck moments in the film...

Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City to take back the child that you have stolen....

Loved Labyrinth smiley - smiley Then again anything with the Jim Henson name on is bound to be excellent smiley - smiley

You remind me of the babe....

loving the labrynth as a child really made watching requiem for a dream a bit bizzare... i just wanted jennifer connelly's character to be all like 'you have no power over me', and then david bowie and his well sexy codpiece would make a dramatic special effects exit

and the dark crystal - the bit where they try to drain the essence - it was years before i could sleep properly again
