Conservation of ghats was concernd with identifying ways of protecting the character of intensely built-up river front streatching for almost seven kilometers along the river
The city has a population of almost 1.5 million, has witnessed a turbulent history and consequently in spite of its antiquity, the building which exists today are seldom older than two or three centuries. The morphology of the town with the hundreds of temples follows an interesting and imagination of people.
we are witnissing a whole new transformation of the city. the regulating bodies are not playing their required roles ......
