Not the most impressive display from the Saints, as they had 60+ possession. Watford hd one shot on target 1.0!Redmond scored one 1.1 then was off side for another. The diamond formation is not working in my opinion. But time will tell.

Saints started this game with Tadic scoring, Arsenal came back to level at 29 mins, and the score stayed level until the 90th min. When the ref awarded a penalty to Arsenal. Unfairly as Arsenal had a man down in the gol area with a head injury, the ref should have stopped the game.

Thus as normal the little teams never get the right call from any ref.

Saints 3rd from bottom and looking like a long season with a new manager by Xmas?

At last a game I got to. Long booked incorrectly for 'simulating' in the penalty area. Redmond and Long, and Austin missed open goal scoring chances. But Swansea hardly bothered the Saints. At last Austin scored the only goal. But Saints not firing on all cylinders yet. Next game V Crystal Palace in the EFL cup.

The game started slowly and bore the signs of a 0.0 draw. But Austin scored, and Saints came alive. After which West Ham collapsed and Saints dominated, and could have won by more. This is the fourth game Saints have won and no goals against.

Wit onder first goal for Boufal, this game had little to shout about with many Academy players on the field. J rodd injured again, and Saints through to quarter final of the EFL Cup, where we drew ARSENAL at the Emirates.

Perhaps the biggest game Saints have hd since 1976? To think 7 years ago they played Dagenham and Redbridge in div 1, and now were playing the glamour of Italian Football.

Saints started well and had 65+% possession but Inter score first through Icardi in 33' mins. Then Inter were adjudged to have given a penalty due to hand ball. Icardi was seen digging the penalty spot. McQueen went to stop him and hd an elbow in the face, The Ref gave a yellow card. Should be an automatic RED. Then Tadic hd the penalty saved. Half time Saints 0 Inter 1.

Saints started the second half full of energy and willingness to score. Eventually despite being held bodily by Inter on several corners Saint scored from a corner via Vigil van Dijk on 64' mins.

Then via an own goal from Nagatomo at 69' mins, Saints took the deserved lead. Saints now lie second in group K, and need 3 points to go through

Having beaten Inter Milan mid week his game wa typical of the Saints. Could've scored more but didn't, should've won but didn't. Should've been tighter in defence couldn't. Yet again calls for the Manager to go from idiots.

Liverpool dominated this game and missed easy goals, Saints defended mighty, and never looked like scoring. Although Austin missed a goal but he was on his own in the Liverpool end. I'm happy we didn't lose.
