hey there, I tried veggy food for a time, much of it is disgusting, but here in the netherlands there is one meat replacer wich is great its called quorn, and they've got some great recepies on their site, you should take a looksie there (its in dutch) www.quorn.nl

Dutchbuzzer is right, it may not be perfect but it's better than the alternatives. And it tastes fine in recipes. Quorn mince in lasagne or bolognese is nice (and doesn't give me stomach pains like the stuff in Linda McCartney produce)

Real eat is the best. It is the only one that is supplied to both supermarket buyers and caterers. I worked in a restaurant which used it a lot with great success. Non vegie customers were happy to buy meals made with it.
It is also cheaper, possibly due to the lower marketing costs.

dont know it... but most of the not quorn stuff is eh terrible, all tastes the same.
