the BBC's repeats were very good yesterday.
Ah, I remember why I'm here. Could I return to sportswriting for a one-off wimbledon review in two weeks time? I'm tinking of calling it either "they think it's all -ova" or "Ladies and gentlemen, play is suspended"

i try to not jostle my editor's elbow, especially when it's bending.
i also think my editor does a great job writing sports on deadline.

Been drowning my sorrows rather than celebrating tonight several - but at least I know which hat to wear on Saturday (oblique reference to Euro 2004... don't mind me!)

oblique, obtuse, acute or whatever, the elbow bends and also turns over (as in pouring a glass over a mate's head when they become obnoxious)so i know a little whereof you speak, shazz.
i was a tarbender/ deejay/ sports editor in another life, and i disremember some of it.
