Summer Haiku
Part 2
Ripples in the air
August heat shimmers above
A road receding
The hot summer breeze
Chokes and bears foul witness to
Scent of death nearby
Husky corn odour
And tang of freshly mown hay
The season ripens
Spindly-legged colt bolts
Chases his sire, nips his flanks
Paddock rituals
Blue-Eyed BiPedal BookWorm from Betelgeuse
