Personally think that Stevie Ray Vaughan is second only to hendrix, but that's just me.

Hi Ryan! Welcome to h2g2, and welcome to Peer Review
I like your entry, and Stevie Ray Vaughn is certainly a deserving topic . Now I'm having Stevie Ray earworms and I'm going to have to go home and dig out my CDs.
Your entry seems a little bit short though, it seems there is more that can be said. I've found some great entries on other musicians to give you some other ideas of what you might include.
A642601 on Neil Young
A685064 on Charlie Parker
Some other ideas:
*If Vaughn is generally ranked 9th, who is usually ranked higher? You don't need to write a whole list (it would vary anyway depending on who you asked), but a few names would give it some perspective.
*Since his career was cut so short are there other highlights that might be included? #1s besides 'Crossroads'? Songs he's known for? His discography?
*You mention that he worked on David Bowie's 'Let's Dance' album, has he worked with other major, well-known musicians?
And finally, a quick technical point: Your double quote marks around "Let's Dance" should be single quotes, and the song titles should also be in single quotes - 'Pride and Joy' and 'Texas Flood'.
With a little bit of polish, this will be a shining addition to the Edited Guide.

I agree with the above, and I certainly hope that you won't let this entry go to waste.
Surely worthy of a mention is the 'Live Alive' album, which the critics raved about, but the band hated (mostly because they were all off their head on assorted drugs at the time) .

Although there is such a thing as a good, short Edited Entry, they tend to be few and far between. The tendency these days is to flesh them out to 2000 words or so.

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Aug 21, 2004
Stevie Ray Vaughan was born in 1954 and died in 1990 - that makes him a few years older than 26 at the time of his death

Well, in either case, the entry is incorrect. He was deifinitely born in 54.

Ah, agreement We have normality. I repeat, we have normality. Anything you still can't cope with is therefore your own problem

thanks, I hadn't noticed that mistake. im going to be gone for a couple of days, so if im quiet, that's why.
I'm not sure about having reached normality, though.

Just a point, isn't it subjective saying he is about 9th greatest guitarist ?
Lists of the 'greatest' whatjamacallits are hardly a definative call, for instance a magazine a few years ago didn'te even mention Chuck Berry or Micheal Jackson in the top 100 musicains of the 20th century, but included some random forgotten fly-by-night pop-tarts
Otherwise, I'm likeing the entry and the topic

perhaps i should revise that to saying " he is widly recognized as one of the most talented guitarists of all time",?

Are you still working on this one. His birthdate should be corrected... Is it 1954 or '64?
