you know, I've actually got a Dutch football shirt- but it's not one of these luminous modern ones, it's a classic design 70s one.
Dutch *cricket* shirt however, that's another matter entirely...

Don't start me off on that subject again - the site is still as rubbish as ever and absolutely no merchandising! Maybe I shall have to befriend a couple of their players and rip their clothes off when they least expect it.
Bizzarly, Het Kasteel has banned the wearing of team shirts etc during the European Cup - are Turkey playing by any chance?

No, Turkey were beaten to a place by Latvia, to the shock of everyone, including the Latvian team.
Latvia are in Holland's group, incidentally.

Hmmm... Morocco then? I'm just trying to work out which 'ethnic minority' they are afraid of upsetting... I don't think we have any Germans coming in to HK!

subtle point- Morocco is in Africa.
Um. Do you have many Czechs, latvians or Germans? they're the teams Holland will be playing in the group stage, so they might be avoiding upsetting them.
One pub i go in from time to time wouldn't let anyone wearing football shirts in during the last world cup, wouldn't show games on TV, and warned anyone who even *discussed"* the world cup that they were risking being kicked out.
I had atough time convincing the landlady that my West Indian one day cricket shirt wasn't a football shirt. I deleicately pointed out the "ICC Cricket World Cup" logo in the bottom corner of the shirt...

France and Germany are the only ones who spring to mind - especially the latter... but we certainly don't get many of those in HK. Silly me, of course Morocco don't play the European matches.
Ironically, despite the ban on shirts etc, they are screening all matches on a big screen and have set up a special 'Euro Team' to run the evenings. Whenever I am DJing (I have a gig tonight as it happens!) I shall, of course, be playing a selection from my new 'Jumpers4Goalposts' cd which I bought earlier this week.

I would recommend that you both use that CD up, and indeed wear it out.

They've got all the games on the Manchester big screen in the Town Centre. The Argentina game in the world cup was absoloutley electric.
