Entry: How to Drink Beer at the Munich Oktoberfest - A27159717
Author: Mottenbertl - U9730155
Dear Peer Reviewer, I hope I really met all the Writing Guidelines. I was a bit in a hurry because my goal was to submit the article with the start of this year's Oktoberfest.
The text was already reviewed language-wise by my New Zealand English teacher - therefore I can put the blame for all language and dialect issues on him. Because of my teacher being from New Zealand I also trust him concerning the Aussie vs. Kiwi comments.
Many thanks in advance for your review work!

I've skimmed this last night and thought: oh, looks like a good entry for PR - and there it is.
I'll give it a proper reading now.

You are using the same beer link throughout your article. Besides it being necessary, the link you have used isn't an Edited Guide Entry.
I have found some you may wish to use instead. Please only use them once!
Wheat Beer A593697
Beer A1422
Beers of Germany A319871
There is a good Entry to be had in this..

I was really confused by the Stehmass until you explained it. It's a Maß and should be written like this
Stehmaß
Umlauts should be written like this:
ä (ä)
ö (ö)
ü (ü)
depending which umlaut you need.

Wow, this is great
The first header isn't necessary, as the title does that job.
I have heard of the Oktoberfest and was very impressed with the size of the glasses, although they're not glasses, they're tankards, I think.
Your English is good - compliments to the person who helped you

No, they aren't tankards, they're just large glasses

But this reminds me of something I meant to ask:
You say nobody can leave the tent with a glass - don't they charge a deposit? I know they do here at any open-air/Volksfest.

Too be quite honest this is lovely stuff, and the work to be done can be polished neatly in the later sub-editing process really.
The content is informative and the style easy to read. It's fun and accessible, and we shouldn't get bogged down with correcting all the minor punctuation errors and so forth yet again.
Nice work, and kudos on he Aussie vs Kiwi stuff, it's all correct!

Well done Mottenbertl for filling a surprising gap in the Guide
After a first read through, apart from the items pointed out already, there are a few typos and House Style preferences to correct:
change to throughout
change the use of double-quotes("") to single-quotes('') - House Style
athmosphere >> atmosphere (twice)
i.e. >> ie (House Style). Also e.g. >> eg
astonishly >> astonishingly
Therfore >> Therefore
behavior >> behaviour
mimum >> minimum
the full stop after - just Bud and a Bud Light?) - is redundant
math >> arithmetic
rammed full >> crammed full

No problem h5, things still need picking up, but I think sometimes the English as a Second Language users can sometimes be discouraged by the sometimes nitpicking that subs can fix up competently once an Entry has been picked

Wow, that's three times 'sometimes' within one sentence - are you trying to tell us something, Matt?
The following links, like the beer links lil pointed out, lead to undeited entries and should be removed or substituted if possible:
Oh, and it's Weißbier, not Weissbier
Spezi A517844
Weißbier A896600 => A593697 Wheat Beer
pretzel A4352168 => A353125 Pretzels

I like this one. It gets a huge amount of info across very economically. Very well paced and good fun to read. The repetitive and slightly sporadic linking of the word ‘beer’ I found a little strange especially as the word is used with a slightly, albeit charmingly, unhinged regularity. I'd suggest just the first instance in each paragraph or less. Also link to Pretzel but not Chicken seemed somewhat unnatural.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
