Well, I know I was born and grew up in Sweden, but with both parents Finnish, there's just no way I could deny sauna, or sisu, or Finnish tango running in my blood...

*gasps* OH MY GOD! OTTOX!!! I thought 'saippuakauppias' was the longest palindrome in the Finnish langauge, never thought of 'saippuakivikauppias'!!!
[to Moderator: sorry, not completely sure of this translation: saippua=soap, kivi=stone, kauppias=salesman - does that make any sense in English???]

Soapstone? Well, I think there IS some kind of stone-like material that actually builds up a foam when soaked in water...
How about a shot of Finlandia vodka?

...a lesson I learned in my youth, drinking red wine at a dinner party, and then repeatedly being offered shots of Jägermeister...
...my stomach didn't like that at all...

Of course not! Never drink Jägermeister. Stick to Gammel Dansk for bitters! And and red wine and and vodka and....

Still -- I have to agree with you both. Gammel Dansk rather than Jägermeister at any time - and G&Ts is something that always go down well!
