Rules re. linking to off-site pictures

Hi there,
I was pleased when I came across the reference to the Underquide, as I'd like to put in some of my poetry. Unfortunately, I've done the poems as prints. At the moment I've hosted the pictures on photobucket, though I have a website where I could upload them.
What happens to writing that's in a grey area like this?

Hi RunningDog,
as far as I know it's perfectly OK to provide a link to pictures, in the way you've done here. You couldn't embed external pictures in guide entries though, the only ones that could be embedded are the ones from the picture library (A692741).
