A Conversation for Using Approved GuideML in Approved Entries

It would be nice for new people like me if there were a list of the tags that could be easily copied and pasted into a text editor. I know this sounds really lazy, but it would eliminate much of the chance that I would spell something wrong or leave a space some where it shouldn't be. Or maybe even a model entry with all the essential tags already in place where you could just plug the content into the body. I guess a template of sorts is what I am suggesting. Maybe there is something like that around here already and I just haven't run across it yet. Or maybe after I get the hang of this I'll make one myself.

Or you could use the Brunel skin which has a function that automatically puts the GuideML tags in for you, which saves you from having to type them out 'manually'.

...pr download the GuidePost program from http://www.alledora.co.uk/guidepost/

yes I saw those, thank you, but I meant a pure list without links and text between, describing each. I don't understand about the Brunel skin function or the Guide Post program. Guess I'll check those out and see what it is about.

Hi Paulie,

It sounds like you are after some sort of GuideML text editor.

One of our Researchers has written one called GuidePost, you can find more about it here - A587874.

In the office we use software called 'Ultra Edit' that allows us to import our own GuideML tags.

yes I may try that out later. right now I have so many programs on this old dinosaur, I don't know that I dare try another. I was just thinking of a simple template, that a newbie might start with and plug in their info. I most likely will make one of those for myself, but I guess it must not be a big deal. I just hate typing caps, or switching back and forth at least. I wonder though, if anybody knows, is there a comment tag in this guide language?
