ok this, my first guide entry, is just about complete but I'm not especially happy with it
I've got plenty more material but in keeping it down to a reasonable length I've ended up with what reads to me like a very dry, bare bones entry
any suggestions on how to improve it would be much appreciated

Read the entry, obviously. Think it had some good relevant background information...some things I wasn't yet aware of.
I'm not sure what you could add, but perhaps just the background stuff is good enough, as people can always discuss her and other more interesting things in posts?
Sorry can't be of any real help, for what it's worth, I thought it was good.

I was wondering if it was worth adding a bit more detail on Pandora's Box as it was her most famous film and perhaps a quote or 2 from her
