The h2g2 Poem

Face of the Moon

Face of the moon on water reflects

the light of the sun.

Face of the sun on water reflects

fire and heat.

Rain clouds quench the thirsty petals.

Crickets dance, birds chirp, river flows.

Man, woman and child asleep with a burden.

Morning hymn beckons the traveller from the east.

Winter's dead, the gods are awakening.

April sings the music of spring.

Orpheus plays the music of love.

Lil Krishna slays the old serpent head.

Sitar strings adorn the new fangled way.

Rejoice, rejoice, sweet breezes blow iron hands away.
