Um, it's a bit slight, isn't it?

How about a mention of Sophie's fairly poor childhood, her domineering mother, the fact that she had no say in her marriage, the fact that Peter III was a waste of space who got his kicks court-martialling rats, and the fact that he only lasted six months as Tsar before Sophie (now converted to Russian Orthodoxy and renamed Catherine) ousted him?

Then there's Catherine's role in the dismemberment of Poland, after she'd forced the election of a discarded lover as King? There's also the expansion of the Russian Empire, the introduction of (limited) education, and Catherine's devotion to western culture.

Her love life was rather busy, but there was a lot more to her than just fooling about with dashing young officers...

This probably does need a little filling out. At the very least go into some detail about the "acts" she was responsible for. Otherwise you could rename your entry to show that it is specifically about her love life.

Ivan's suggestions for additional content sound good to me, I have also read that she was a prolific letter writer and corresponded with a number of authors and philosophers, such as Voltaire.

A fascinating character and one who could do with a good guide entry, good choice of subject.

Catherine's memoirs make for interesting reading. They go as far as (I think) the death of Empress Elisabeth - or somewhere around there at any rate. Her own reign is not covered.

I understand what you are saying but this was only an artical to get people wanting a bigger more in depth artical, wicth I see it has and I will Start right away on a complete artical on all aspects of Catherine the Great and put it up for peer review.
