Shouldn't it be "Advocate ... /Belief/ Each" - we *are* the FFFF, after all... smiley - winkeye

Hi there at FFFF, I'm really impressed by the good work you did at H2G2. I'd like to join as Wonko-the-Sane Fighter for Good Sex. That is what freedom is for after all, isn't it?

Thanks for including the link to this website: [Broken link removed by Moderator], you can switch to English and find lots of good stuff there.

I think of myself as an humanist, greatest fan (together with others) of Douglas Adams, and seeker of the reality (including my genes).

Yesterday I did some entries to the guide, my first ones. Please don't stone me for 42! Tell me if that is totally out of place.

Do you know the book Sofies's World? These kind of books really drive me crazy: people reading it don't even realize how they are beeing manipulated!

No, not read it. Looks pretty dull actually. And I'm especially not going to read it if it's going to manipulate me...

Lucinda, freedom from faith is not possible. Atheism is a faith, as is agnosticism and all religions, including the billions we should all admit to their being.

How do you thing about humanism as a faith? Should be a good thing, since we all are humans.

Hi Everybody

MaW

Me personally? I don't know enough about humanism to make a proper judgement, but from what I do know I don't think it's for me.

In my own personal simplistic humble view humanism = atheism + democracy + good sex.

Come to think of it, wouldn't it be good to write a constitution?

I think you just wrote it... smiley - tongueout

Hi Everybody

So you would agree?

Rule one could be: Sex is the second best thing to do. Nobody should ever be prohibited in any way to do it.

BTW thanks for your links on your homepage!

You seem clear enough on first principles, so obviously that's an encouraging sign. Perhaps a little more work on fine detail might be needed, but you probably know more about constitutional affairs than the average US President-in-waiting, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

BTW - What's the best thing to do, then?...

HAH! There is one flaw in that constitution: What do we do about sexual abuse? I think there is a clear line to be drawn here, and there is to be put in a passage about who has sex with whom and under which circumstances. E.g. the adult having sex with a child may subscribe to the same law of "good sex" but it is in NO ways good for the child.

I say this, as I am a socialworker and very sensitive for the abuse-theme. We encounter this on a daily basis, and it is not funny. So therefor my plead for amendments.

Hope I didn´t spoil your fun, Wonko.

Hi Everybody

You are absolutely right. My new proposal is:

Rule one could be: Sex is the second best thing to do. Nobody should ever be prohibited in any way to do it as long as everybody has fun.

Hi Everybody

Wonko

Oh, I forgot: to eat. At least that is the order in which people act when set out on an island. First they look for food and second they look for mates to have sex with.

I for myself sometimes reverse that order.

So the second rule could be: Everybody is free to eat everything they like as long as everybody has fun.

Please folks at FFFF look at my new entries for the guide. Would make a poor man happy. Or so.

Hi Everybody

Post 214

MaW

So what you're basically saying is that everyone should have fun? I can agree with that.

Hi Everybody

Post 215

Lear (the Unready)

Maybe the first rule should just be :-

Everyone should have fun, as long as everyone is having fun. And as long as everyone agrees.

Then your other suggestions could just be sub-clauses of this one great, over-arching rule.

But I think you need a definition of 'Fun'. Just to be pedantic. I was never quite sure about the stuff myself...

And there is the difference in everyone `saying` they are having fun and them `having` fun in the end. The kids at work are always on about sex. But I guess, they would find it not at all amusing if they were f****d.

Hi Everybody

Indeed.

The latest round of applications have been processed, so MaW, Guardian, and Wonko are now officially official. MaW ended up with a little aside to his name... sorry, but I couldn't resist. smiley - tongueout

And now that that bit of business is taken care of... this bit about happiness comes pretty close to my own philosophy on life. We're here for a short time, and then it's over, so we need to make the most of every day. Therefore, everything that is conducive to a good life is good, and everything that is not is evil. People who make your life more enjoyable are good, and people who infringe on it carelessly or purposely are evil.

Ok... guess that was just a bit more serious than everything else being said here... I now return you to your previously scheduled conversation on sex... smiley - winkeye

I think children have the ability to express themselves very clearly when it comes to stating what they want and especially what they don't want. We just have to respect this.

The definition of fun should be very straitforward: it's up to each single person to try things out and check whether its fun to them or not. And others should respect this.
