Well done for not jumping the gun Hypatia I failed this year and have ended up with rotten pea seeds, rotten cucumber seeds and rotten carrot seeds
But the mitigating circumstances for me were weather-related too. This time last year we were having 23C days and 10C nights This year, it's back to 'normal' Scottish spring. 10C days and the odd frost at night, days of cloudy gloom with the odd hour or 2 of sunshine
I've had to take drastic action and re-sow in the hotroom. I have 4 cucumbers next to me as I type, looking bright and perky
I'm looking forward to next week's CG on veg seeds

I like growing flowers, but my first love is the vegetable patch. It's just so rewarding.
I still have to sow my leeks and a variety of onion called Candy. It is day neutral, so can be grown anywhere. My corn is up in my seed trays and my cucumbers, beans, squash, and melons. Also I have kale up and waiting to go into the garden. I'm going to hit it hard tomorrow and get as much done as I can, because it is supposed to start raining again tomorrow night. And tomorrow is the 18th, which means it is officially late enough to set out the tomatoes and peppers and eggplants. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
