A Conversation for Things There Should Be More Of

It went well. I liked the teachers for the classes I had yesterday, and I've only to meet two new teachers today.

And thankfully, I got my work schedule changed so that I didn't have two classes back to back, then immediately to work, and then immediately to another class. So far I'm liking everything, but wary. This is usually the point where everything turns on me.

I'm glad it's all going well for you so far. It took me about 2 1/2 weeks before I met anyone I felt could become good friends when I started uni, although I have, technically, started twice. There will, of course, be times when things start to go wrong, but hopefullyit'll be one of teh happiest times of your life.

I'm going to shut up before I statr coming out with even more droll rubbish. Alas, I cannot think of an original way to say what I mean, so as I've dug my way into a hole, I'm going to get out of it before I put a gravestone on the top.

I'm still quite good... smiley - smiley Classes are a little more remedial than what I expected, but I guess that's really okay. And the people are still nice... and guess who got first chair in the concert band! smiley - flyhi (I'm not even a Music major!)

*applauds BB for updating the list*

Congratulations Amy!
When I went to Uni, the first thing I noticed was that they tended to give you 3 weeks worth of lessons in each seminar. Or, what at school you would take 3 weeks to cover was rushed through in half an hour, and you were expected to put in extra time in order to understand it fully. Quite hectic, and sadly impossible to do when you had to spend your free time working.

So, do you have anything else for me to add to the list, when I update it next in 3 months smiley - winkeye?

I love 'em... makes things a heck of a lot cooler and less humid down here, too.

I like watching them, and being outside before and after them, it's just the during, with the wind, rain and hail, that I dislike.

I just hate it when there's a threat of a tornado... we had a major threat a few months ago at home and I get scared every time someone tells me there's a tornado watch.

Really? We occasionally have tornadoes, but the they tend to not do too much damage, just knock down the odd tree, tear up the odd roof, that sort of thing. No-one is normally hurt in them, they just annoy insurance companies.

Mostly just the fear created by my overactive imagination is all...

Well, they can be dangerous if a tree falls on you. I blame "The Wizard Of Oz" for giving children nightmares.

Quite possible. Though the real thing tends to make me scared...

Well, understandable under the circumstances.
They have, afterall, killed people - and death isn't something to laugh at.

Mostly I've been treading the line between sanity and insanity... and actually enjoying it. I guess that's just normal school stuff, though.

I'm really starting to miss my friends, though... this is why I'm glad for h2g2. I can take you guys everywhere. smiley - biggrin

As long as we both have a PC, we can keep in touch smiley - smiley That's the great thing about H2G2 etc, and the internet as a whole. smiley - biggrin
Living between sanity and insanity is quite normal, I think...
