*Avatar walks into the courtyard, sets his things on the ground, and starts practicing his magic skills, focusing mainly on shielding and temporal spells.*

*The mouse form of Ezek shoots into the courtyard and sits twitching in the corner*

*Avatar glances at the mouse but keeps practicing his spells until he is satisfied with them. When he finishes practicing, he looks at the mouse again.*

Young sir, I'd be careful if I were you. With all the familiars around here, a body your size could end up as someone's dinner.

*The mouse shivers at the prospect, then starts to shimmer uncertainly until it grows and turns into a small labrador*

*The labrador looks nervously at avatar and wags its tail hopefully, then seems to remember something and looks back at the dining hall*

*It starts to shake then looks alarmed and inspects its paws*

*Lady Shaylar's cat Masky comes into the courtyard and spots the Mouse, she looks at it then goes and sits on the wall, never taking her eyes off the Mouse*

*Masky starts to wash her paws*

[Masky] There are some odd people around here

*Ezek spots the cat and pads over to contemplate it*

Indeed, but that's old news.

*to the dog* Hmmm, a shapeshifter are you? Fascinating.

*Avatar notices the dog's distress* Is something wrong?

*Avatar watches the mouse-turned-dog with interest.*

Hmm, a shapeshifter.

[Masky] I didn't think there were shape shifters in the guild

*the dog peers at the cat*

[Well, theres me, but its not exactly as if I can control this much .... which makes it more of a problem than anything else.... can you understand me?]

*the dog shivers and looks at its paws*

[Masky] What's the matter with your paws?

*the ezek looks up nervously*

[They're shaking, I've shifted twice too quickly, although the first wasnt deliberate the second was and now I'm not sure if I'm too tired to shift back]

*it glances warily at the dining hall*

[and I dont particularly want to go back in there to fetch my robes anyway, which means if I shift back I'll have a clothing problem]

*it lays down and contemplates this*

[Masky] do you want me to fetch My Lady, she will be able to give you some guidence or her love will

*the ezek jumps up shakily*

[well they all think I'm fairly stupid and nervous already, no I'll solve this myself]

*he looks around and looks down at his paws again*

[if you ever need anything I'll remember this, thankyou for trying to help. Well, talking to me at least]

*he walks slowly in the direction of the dining hall]

*walks into the courtyard slowly, making sure that the lady is still with him*

[Masky] Glad I could help

*Masky watches the pair with interest*

*Ezek slowly walks into the courtyard human again with a hand pressed to his arm. He takes it away and looks at the cut muttering something, the bleeding is slow but steady and doesnt appear to have any intention of stopping. He stops and sits by Masky looking woeful*

I'm going to be in so much trouble you know

*he holds out a hand gently to the cat*

*Masky rubs his hand*

[Masky] Do you want to talk to my lady, she's fair

*he looks thoughtfully at the cat* Well you would say that, you're bound to be very loyal to her. *he dabs at his arm vaguely* Do you know anything about enchanted books?
