Well done for catching up. We British lost faith in politics centuries ago! Your article is a bit short and could do with a bit more work on it. By the way there is no proof that Bush acutally did win the election. Over here we cynics were having a feild day with their inability to count and the total weirdness that is the electoral college. One of my friends emailed a "Retraction of Independance" to the White House it went something like this.....

To the Citizens of the United States of America

Seeing as you are unable to count ballot papers and therefore goven yourselves we the British Government are retracting your independance. Your new Prime Minister (Tony Blair for the 95% of you who are convinced nothing exists outside of your borders) has decreed on behalf of your new queen (Elizabeth II not Victoria Beckham) that you follow the following emergency acts.

1) The Don't Say Dude Every 5 Seconds Act: Is self explanitory.
2) The Learn How to Spell Act: All US Citizens are to be provided with a copy of the Oxford English Dictionary which they must use.
3) The Learn Our Sports So You Can Beat The Living Shite Out Of Us At Them Act: Baseball is to be replaced with cricket, the rules of which will be taught by a fast speaking Yorkshireman. American Football is to be replaced by rugby. The rules are practically the same except you don't stand around in Kevlar armour looking like nacies!
4) The Stupid State Laws Act: All state laws that appear in the 'Worlds Stupidest Laws' book are hearby repealed. This saves us a lot of time and paperwork going through every single state's law book and crossing them out.

Please ensure that these laws are enforced in the usual way by your existing secret police forces and tools of nazi style opression.

Well actually NOFX stands for No F***ing Straight Edge. The biggest difference between this and rock the vote is this is being done by the bands. You won't see any MTV buses. It is also about not merely getting people to register but actually educating people. The website is very informative and updated regularly. And no most punks I know don't shop at UO. They tend to avoid crap.

By the way, as idiotic as democracy is, not voting against Bush is quite frankly criminal! Mind you, you don't have much of a choice. Does the US Constitution state that US Presidents must be either a) mad b) interlectually challenged c) criminals or (d all of the above!

Interesting article, might be a bit easier to read if you split it up into 2 or maybe 3 paragraphs. It could be easily split before the start of either of the sentences beginning with "Already". The site looks really good, too, altough not had time to explore it all yet.
