The great news is that we may not need to go through the tedium of persuading the politicians to change things....

The Human Rights Act 1998, Article 8, (The right to privacy without state interference) has provided an incredible opportunity to FORCE the end of prohibition.

There are at least three current cases in the legal system, and more joining the party by the week, any of which could be the key to having the applicable law (Misuse of Drugs Act 1971) declared ILLEGAL.

Latest news is that "They" are trying to hide behind the "U.N. Conventions (on psychotropic substances)", which the legal boffins reckon is a spurious argument.

Anyway, it's just been announced that HMG is holding a Select Committee thing in mid October, ostensibly to look at the possibility of de-criminalisation, but IMHO to find a way out of the hole that the previously-mentioned court cases could put them in.

Me, I'm a hard-liner....

THEY called it a "War on Cannabis"
So when they lose,
I want them up in front of a war-crimes tribunal.

In the name of the 80,000 British citizens who have had their lives unjustly turned up side down each year.....

And the few whos' lives were ended.

Cheers for taking a shuftey Unfortunately the politicians will do nothing on this. Tony 'dubya' Blair and Jackboot Straw will make sure of that, even if the select comittee says it shouldn't be criminal, the politicians will ignore it, as they have done at least twice before in this country.
