Yes, there here in Malta too, though thy're also known as LM1 Shops. (One Maltese Lira) But as LM1 is usually referred to as a pound this lures the unsuspecting English tourist into thinking it's pound sterling. As LM1 equals about 1.30 Sterling the locals are making a tidy profit from stupid tourists. I'm currently a tourist here but thankfully have sense enough to work out the difference.
