A-Ha! I got it. It's transparent because, short answer, it relfects very little light.
Long answer. Due to the exceptionaly random molecular arangement of silica which has been melted and turned into glass there are pleanty of gaps for the light to pass through. Similarly the atomic makeup of glass is such that the electrons tend to only absorb light in the UV frequency range.
Answer using Newton's corpuscular theory of light [Which is both wrong and does not work when applied to much of the evidence, thereby demonstrating that Newton was a brilliant mathematician and a lousy physisist].
The substance, silica, of which glass is made does not, having been melted and solidified, repel light particals. Instead it absorbs them or Allows them to pass straight through, unlike substances like silver, which repel all light particals or wood, which absorbs all light particles except brown, which it repels.

I had a great physics lecturer. Not only did she get me through my A-Levels, but she was also the person who spotted my dyslexia.
Right question for you all. Who is the only actor to be killed, on screen, by a Xenomorph, a Yautja and a T-800?

Oh come on people it's not hard, only four actors appeared in films involving two of more of the above and one of those actors played one of the above, which rules him out.

Hey, no one here knew enough about "Are You Being Served?" to guess mine a few weeks ago.

I'm guessing that a T-800 comes from the Terminator movie franchise, which one I don't know.

ok, right for those of you who aren't film nuts
T-800 = Terminator (Original model, i.e. Arnie)
Yautja = Predator
Xenomorph = Alien

Fine, as noone even tried to get this I'll tell you the answer and ask a new question. The answer was Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen was almost also a valid answer, but he was killed by Riply in Alien3, not the Xenomorph Queen in Aliens.
Fine, new question, and I expect EC to get this.
By what name is Akumajo Dracula better known?

I know! I had to summon all my courage and know-how! More specifically I had to obtain the Triforce of Wisdom. Sure, I had to beat up Zelda to get it but she goes down after one good punch
My question: Samus Aran makes a cameo in Super Mario RPG. Where do you find her?

Well normally I go into my bedroom and she's stretched out wearing not much and saying "Take me in a manly fashion"
...
or do you mean in the game? If so that's not fair as it was never released in Europe

Your fantasies shock and disturb me. But, yes. I mean the game. Luckily the wonder of the... INTERNET .... helps those that Nintendo ignores.

Samus can be found sleeping in the Mushroom Kingdom castle's "guest room" after you beat Yaridovich.
