*Cara lets go of lil and sees her prepare the spell, he waves his hand across her and Lil feels herself going stiff, her muscles tighten and refuse to move and her body seizes up.*

*He hears his men scream as Saiga attacks and orders them forward, two men approach and draw sword that glow with a bright white light, dispelling all shadows around them*

*As he holds her Cara sees blood on her face*

*She is bleeding from her nose*


*Lil suddenly goes limp in his arms*

*looks at the lack of shadows around them and throws two daggers into a foot of each impaling them there*

*I glance at the others guards and send shadow blades to attack them before they can activate there light spells and I look at Cara.*

Why did you send your men to attack me and Yuna?

*I casually disarm a guard while still looking at Cara leaving the guard defenceless against a shadowblade*

Tetsu? </>

*Cara looks down at lil and releases the spell binding her, He holds her close and desperatly tries to rouse her*

Liiiiiiilllllll..

*He turns to look at saiga and sees the guards falling around him, he nods to the sergant and the sergant smiles.*

I did not send them to attack only to protect My Lady, you attacked them first and I doubt they are too happy about that..

*He looks over at the sergant whose face begins to constrict, the sergant growls into the sky and his body begins to morph, he grows monstrously his whole expanding. He looks over to Saiga and growls a demonic roar, with blinding speed the sergant runs at Saiga swinging his arms and forcing his boulder sized fists hard into Saiga's chest sending him flying across the graveyard*

*bounces off a gravestone and lands down hard my armour rattling and my sword bouncing away from me. I stagger to my feet and see the seargent charging and I leap up as he smashes through the gravestone I was infront of my wings growing at the top of the leap as I take to the air. I circle for a short while and swoop down to the seargent grabbing him and pulling him up into the air with large powerful beats of my wings*

You sent them towards us first and I can tell you it was not to ask for a cup of sugar

*still smiling that faint smile*

*Opens her eyes and looking across the Graveyard*


TETSU??? My Friend! Is that you?


*Holds out her arms towards the Demon in the Shadows*



*Turns and looks at who is restraining her*


Cara?

*Smiles weakly*

*The sergant reaches up and grabs hold of Saiga, he grasps one of Saiga's wings and pulls hard knocking them both out of the air. They fall quickly and crash hard into a mausoleum, they masoleum shakes violently and collapses in on top of them both*

Lil....

*Cara holds lil back and pleads desperatly with her*

My Love, what is going on..?

*He looks over to where Lil points and see's nothing*

*lil touches Cara's Mask and almost sees his face*


Cara?...


*Lies back against his body*

Lil....

*Cara pulls lil close to him*

Are you ok...?

What happened here...?

*laughs sleepily*


I have been with old friends, my darling.... just old friends!



*He can see she is far from well. Especially as he snatches at her hands when she begins to sign again*

*Brena has remained seated this whole time ignoring the proceedings, his face is weary and his eyes filled with pain...hearing lil's delirious rantings, though, he stands fluidly and moves over to where Cara is holding her*

*he unsheaths his smallest claw and sighs heavily...he thought never to use this power, the one his sister uses so freely.*

*he digs the claw deeply into her neck and feels her go limp in Cara's arms; he keeps his eyes closed and lines of concentration fill his face*

*Cara feels Lil go limp iin his arms and looks to Brena*

DEMON....

*He places lil gently on the ground and throws himself at Brena breaking the connection and sending them both rolling away.*

I WILL KILL YOU DEMON.....

*Stands grogierly from the wrecked remains of the mausoleum knocking the seargent unconiocous as I stand I look to see what is happening*

*bats Cara away lightly, trying not to hurt him*

You can kill me in a minute, mage...first let me help your love..

*he moves back to lil with all the speed of a cat; he picks her up and once again plunges the claw into her neck...she is still limp but he feels her her strengthen and come back to herself as his soul passes to her*

*he falls to his knees just as she wakes*

Now you can kill me, mage

*Cara looks on as Brena heals Lil, he stands there shocked as Brena drops to his knees and looks up at him, for a moment he feels pity for the demon and hesitates for a second until the anger and rage once again wash over him and he looks down on the Demon with nothing but contempt*

I will be glad to Demon...

*He raises his arms into the air and begins to chant, black flame erupts about his body and energy begins to collect above his out streched arms. A ball of dark energy appears above him and begins to grow and swell as he chants*

*Opening her eyes lil sees Brena beside her*

*Startled she pulls away from him*


*And backs into Cara*


*She touches her neck and realisation dawns*


Cara! *she grabs at his armour*.......Brena... did he use his claws?


*She closes her eyes and winces as she knows what the answer will be*


You and you sister have both tied me to your souls... I cannot help nor kill either of you!

*Glares angrily at Brena*

I would sooner have died! *sob*

*A sword of shadow flies into Caras leg disrupting his concentration and stopping the spell for now*

Cara! Brena is mine!

*I walk round behind Brena*

*he looks up wearily*

You are not tied to my soul for much longer, this kind mage is about to put me out of my misery...

I am sorry you would have rather died; I know to be tied to my soul must be repulsive so look forward to the freedom when I die

OK Brena I ask you a warriors death or a death by magic? *my sword raises in the air*
