So which one of you is going to be a darling and give The Post a run-down of the upcoming World Cup?
We will have editions on 15th and 29th June and 13th July plus 1st June for anyone who wants to write a forecast/rant...

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted May 16, 2006
Hmmm. I think I'm too partisan to do it effectively...

Demon Drawer Posted May 17, 2006
I'm neutral and could do a good job of it.

I will be writing up Eurovision, as usual, which will drain my creative skills for a few months.

Oops
Just using a tried and tested advertising technique to get everyone's attention, Amy. Something from the female perspective would be great!
DD - if you think that you can do something then that would be excellent. Don't worry about being too neutral - it hasn't ever stopped me. I shall, as is usual for me now, be swapping strips depending on the match.
B - I take it that is a subtle reply to my plea in another place?

I'll rattle off a couple of build up pieces between now and the start of the tournament for you then Shazz.

Amy the Ant - High Manzanilla of the Church of the Stuffed Olive Posted May 17, 2006
I'd like to write something about the managers. An ant's view from the dugout. Keeping my antennae to the ground, etc. I'm hoping it might be funny but these things can never be guaranteed, of course.
Hello Boys!
Mu Beta Posted May 17, 2006
That's a nice idea. I might try and write something a bit off-the-wall in that case.

If England come second in the group, I'll be watching the second round game (possibly against Germany) in Edinburgh. That might be interesting...

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted May 17, 2006
Well, yeah. That should make for an interesting story...

Secretly Not Here Any More Posted May 17, 2006
Well, I would like to come out of it alive...
Hello Boys!
pedro Posted May 17, 2006
I'm sure you would. If you were quiet..
Anyway, if it's the Germans you'd get some sympathy after the penalties

All and anything would be most welcome - especially on the lighter side - and match reports from actual attendees (who survive) are certainly encouraged.
