What so you can steal her off me in real life
I haven't asked her yet, but I'm sure that she will be if you're there!

You two! You will just have to share.
*es at the compliments*
I am most certainly intending to come! Oh, and Z, there seems to be a new bus route- megabus.com- that claims to offer Birmingham-Nodnol for £2.50. No idea if the times would work or anything, but it's worth looking into.

£1 each way, plus 50p booking fee, but the last bus is at 21:00 on teh Saturday. It takes three hours, and we need to book it as soon as the date is fixed, as places seem to sell out in advance (suprisingly. ).

Or we could get National express for fourteen pound fifty and that doesn't leave until half past elven.
Personally I was having such fun last time that I'd rather pay the extra money for the extra few hours

For the last summer meet we stayed over at Student halls of residence which were walking distance from the meet and only about twenty pounds a night - we could do that again if people want to I can't afford to, but I could fogo eating for a week or something..
(cue the NHS Grant diet)

I suppose it depends on how many people would be with us. And do UK hotels actually make rooms big enough to have more than one bed in them?

Z Posted Apr 3, 2004
No well at a proper hotel you can't really it's usually double beds- though they do sometimes have twin beds, at a student hall of residence it's a single bed and they really try and get you not to share a room.

They say it's for health and safety reasons, it's really to stop budget travellers doubling up...

Not that we'd *ever* do that, eh Z?
It's £8.50 in the train (a week in advance) each way, and that's even nicer. I do hate coaches. Oh, and I get the Railcard discount too, so it's good for me.
I'd certainly want to get there reasonably early, and leave reasonably late. But then, we won't be the only ones if we can't do that.

OOoh that sounds nicer - and I much prefer trains as well, I can get a railcard discount too, well I have to renew my railcard to go to Scotland so I'll still have one.
Trains are so much more fun - is that with Virgin? what time's the last train?

Urgh, the Virgin website can be so slo-o-o-ow...
Damn. Last train is at 22:55, but I that's been booked up so the last is at 20:55. On the website. I think we need to wait until the date has been decided, and then havea look at the website (or actually go to the station. )

The cheap fares don't seem to be avaliable for the later trains. Can'tsay I really blame them, but annoying still.

I didn't say this but........ if one chooses to pick up the said cheap tickets from the fastticket machine at New St (or indeed any other station) then the time of the train that you are booked on isn't actually shown on the ticket. So should one accidently get onto the train that one is not booked on, t hen the nice ticket inspector doens't usually noticed.

But if they don't sell *any* cheap tickets for the last train, then they might be able to tell from the price. We can always plead stupidity?
