I've heard that its possible to break glass by singing at it
I'd love to know how...
Can any voice do it, or does it have to be a high one?

You have to hit the resonant frequency of the glass
(and have a shockingly thin and badly made glass).
Basically increase your pitch until the glass "sings back at you" (resonates) then increase your volume whilst maintaining the pitch.

You will either crack the glass or pass out and fall on to it - either way, the glass will break.

Lick your finger, rub it around the top edge of a wine glass until it sings
Record that noise and play it back at high volume
Only the very best singers can do it by hand, er... voice

it's much easier if you have a heavily scratched glass , or one which is badly annealed (glas making term for a toughening process involving careful cooling).

As a damn fine professional singer, I would like to point out how hard that is!! However, a woman doing karaoke in a bar in glasgow a few years back managed just that, hitting just the right frequency and amplified, in a bar full of cheapo glassses... well it made the papers!!

Bruce Dickinson did it when he was young, and look where he is now!
