Thanks for all that, ! Would you like to take over the running of the Jukebox?
I'm not joking! I have actually already made a posting at the Musicians' Guild page asking if anyone would like to take the page off my hands. The thing is that I already have a lot of other commitments both on h2g2 and off it, and really haven't got the time to do this page justice any more. Also, I AM 42, and it probably should be someone a bit younger running a music page like this!
So, as you're keen, how about it? All you'd need to do is go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/test242245 to access the GuideML for the whole page. You could then set up a new Entry, and cut and paste the code into that Entry. The Jukebox would then be yours to add to, subtract from and generally do what you like with!
I am absolutely serious about this! I put a lot of work into building the Jukebox page, but I just don't have the time any more. I'd love to pass it on into good hands! Let me know if you can do it.

Ok then i will.
I would be honoured to keep the jukebox working.
Surely you could put my number in the "Edit researchers list" in the 'edit guide entry' screen so that i can edit it. Then you could also use it when you wish!

Thank you, Moose! That really is good news! I'm busier than ever now doing loads of World Cup stuff here, and my society for the preservation of grumpiness (PUDDING) is also proving to be a real, time-consuming hit! So it is great to pass the Jukebox on to someone who can spare the time to look after it.
Unfortunately, I don't think you can have two editors of the same page. I have some experience of this problem, as I have co-authored quite a few Guide Entries. I think the only way it can be done is for you to copy the GuideML and set up your own page. It's very simple to do. If you go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/test242245 you can see the Guide ML for the page, and you can then easily cut and paste the GuideML into a new Entry.
Thanks a million for this! Please let me know how you get on. I'll tell Abi at h2g2 Towers that the Jukebox is under new management, then she can hopefully give the same protection from harassment by the Moderators to you that I've always enjoyed with this page!

If that code works on one h2g2 page, it must work on another! Are you sure you're not cutting off either the beginning or the end of the code?

I dunno what happened, but I managed to cut and insert bits and it seems to work now. Have a look! (Link above) It's exactly the same as the original except for a little intro bit I put in...

Well done, !
OK - I'm going to update my Personal Space later today, so I'll delete my version of the Jukebox and re-route the link on my page to your version. I'll also mail Abi and tell her that you're running the page now, so hopefully you can have the same protection from the Moderators that I had. Thanks, and have fun running the page!

OK, Moose - all the above has been done, and I've posted a message on A242245 redirecting people to the new page. Don't forget to mail Abi on [email protected] with the URLs when you add some new links, that way you'll enjoy immunity from the Moderators!
Can I have a writing credit on the new page, please? After all, I did find all those hundreds of links! My user number is U95721.
