Poor thing, getting called smudger! Another good story.
I suffer the same kind of inverted snobbery at work, as most people expect the salespeople at electrical retailers to be little short of stupid. They often get surprised when I prove them wrong!

,Its just amazing how some people seem to Pigeon Hole you even before they speak to you
Like you say, they get a surprise when their dillusion is shattered
Some of them cant handle it, so they panic and run
