Interesting idea, but doesn't the sqrt(-1) give '+or-' i? You assume it be just '+' i. This would probably result in floor.... What do you think?

In answer to your question yes. The point that the root of -1 is plus or minus i is irrelevant, as we have already proved that that numbers are equivalent to their negative counterparts

A very clever twist there derfuzz, you're using your 'proof' to show something within your proof. This doesn't convince me, but maybe. I'll write more when I've had chance to think it over.
