Well-what can i say!the crowning glory of Basil the Great Mouse detective has to be its sly reference to Sir Arthur Conan Doyles interest in the occult,by having the Watsonian mouse side-kick have a scene with the female mouse dancer circling his head a la the cottingley fairies.Also i was most chuffed with the inclusion of a snippet of the real Basil(my hero!)voicing Sherlock Holmes,Simply Spiffing!if you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes,Basil Rathbone or Dr Who and The Avengers e-mail me at [email protected]
