Entry: 'Thunderpants' - The Film - A2364194
Author: Niwt - U162817
This is my first film entry, so I'm not quite sure how to go about writing one. That's why I chose a silly film. It was in WW, but of course I got no response after a week, so I decided to move it here. Comments?

I thought it was going to be a dismissive review of the forthcoming Thunderbirds movie.
Not a film I've seen, or will be inspired to see. The synopsis seems well-written though misses some essential details eg such as when was it first released, who is it likely to appeal to and has it won any accolades?
Can it be linked to any other entries (always a bonus)? As a first film review it is probably worth comparing with other film review entries to see what additional detail is expected (sorry, I can't think of any off the top of my head). Some researchers feel h2g2 is not the place for ephemeral film (or band) reviews - I'd expect there to be some aspect of the entry that lifts it above being merely a film review - eg describing its cult following or special relevance.
Hope this helps

I did inspect other film entries before writing this. A lot of them gave a lot of the story away, something I've tried not to do.
Generally I don't really like 'film reviews' in the guide, so I've tried to make this impartial and factual. Basically describing the film, not whether it's good or not or what I think. There's no cult following or anything! That would be a disaster! It would smell really bad! (Sorry. Lame joke. But there's nothing really special I can add.)
However, I can link it to Rupert Grint edited entry, and also add about the year of release (2002) and director (Peter Hewitt).

What does "he has two stomachs" mean? Is he physically different inside, or is it a slang phrase that I don't know?
This entry just stops. It looks like you forgot to finish it. You need some sort of conclusion.

No, Patrick genuinely has two stomachs, some sort of biological disaster, we are informed by the doctor in the film.
I can't think of any sort of conclusion! I mean, it's not a great film, what do I say? "This film is not a great film, it's best if you don't watch it unless you're a 10 year old boy."

What made you decide to review the film? Is it very popular among your friends? Did you go and see it and need to record the event?
How about something like:
"This film will not win any academy awards, but there are a few belly-laughs in it. If your idea of fun is listening to someone farting, then go and see Thunderpants!"

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Well Done Niwt (sorry this wasn't a more prompt reply - I've been away, and am just catching up)
