A Conversation for Santa Claus: The Stretchy Santa Theory
Stretchy Santa vs. Multi-Actual Santa

I thought the kilometer was literally defined so there were 10,000 of them beween the North Pole and the Equator. So that makes 20,000 between the poles. But that's just a quibble.
More importantly, I think Santa's tensile strength would have to be phenomenal to stretch that distance and still hold all the presents. For that and other reasons, I much prefer the theory of Multi-Actual Santa, who can appear more than one place at a time:
* Multi-Actual Santa *knows* if you've been bad or good, because there's enough of him to watch everyone.
* Multi-Actual Santa has no trouble getting inside a house which has no chimney; he just manifests a duplicate there.
* If some homeowner mistakes Multi-Actual Santa for a burglar and shoots him, there's always another instance of Multi-Actual Santa.
