It's pouring rain here so I just watched Kurosawa's "Akahige" (Red Beard). So sad, but soooo good.

Oh smiley - bleep I just missed him ! As promised another quote from the movie in question.
) “Oh, where are we ?”
*how stupid can you be ?* “On the moon.”

2) “My friends and I are looking for three men. . . . one who is extremely large and strong.”
*laughs* “Oh, we’re all extremely large and strong here.”

3) “I must inform you, my liege, without my adventures, you wouldn’t be here.”
“Well, so now I am part of your adventures ? Well, we shall see about that, huh.”

4)“Oh, here comes my midget manservant with the petit fours.”

I'll bet that was a big help. *sniggers*

Top ten, huh. I'll have to think about it. It will take less than 7 1/2 million years. The mystery movie will probably end up on the list so I couldn't give it yet anyway.

It's been raining like crazy here lately so I've started renting American movies on Japanese DVD and watching them dubbed in Japanese. Today I watched "I, Robot" again and it was much better in Japanese.

Ooh, sounds smiley - cool! We don't dub stuff here, except for kids stuff, but I bet that would have a chance to be _very_ amusing.

There's a Japanese film that just got here called 'Nobody Knows', which sounds excellent... I'm waiting till it gets to the Cinematheque. Shouldn't take long, I suspect, though with the Cinematheque you never know _when_ a film is going to get there. smiley - smiley Love the place.

No, sorry. It was really nice yesterday but I never got outside except to take out loads of trash. You can see how much longer I stayed on after I said I had to go and do something important. So irresponsible. Well, I'm on vacation and I should be able to goof if I want to, smiley - bleepit.
Robots looks like an interesting movie, fun for the whole family and Roger Ebert said some very nice things to say about it but I will probably not see it until it comes out on DVD and somebody brings it over and watches it with me in the room. Instead of a top 10 list of favorites, I should do a list of the ten best movies I never saw.
