I don't know...I just remembered the bit about the speaker wired to the brain...

Who said it is kind of funny because she did not fade away into obscurity as did so many other actresses in 50's b grade sci fi movies. She became a household word.

Actually I thought it was a pretty good movie. I guess I'm telling my age, but I remember when it first came out, although I was just barely too young to see it in the theaters. Since it was filmed in the south, it had a regional interest, and it made us South Louisianians feel much superior to the Alabama/Georgia/Florida natives!

Right, well:
"Our composer? But Mozart belongs to the world."
"And then I stick my ovipositer down your throat and lay eggs in your chest but I'm not an alien!"

I only saw it on TV and don't have a strong memory of it plus I'm no film critic so didn't mean to step on any toes. Do you know the actress ?

Anne Francis?
Sleeep, neeed sleeep?
Any guesses? I need to go to bed...

G'night Haikeeba!

Night! Okay, here's the quote again:
"Our composer? But Mozart belongs to the world."
"And then I stick my ovipositer down your throat and lay eggs in your chest but I'm not an alien!"
I'm not going soft on this one like I did with Leon but if you've seen the movie, you'll get the quotes. Later!

Oh, I thought you meant Donovan's Brain. I now re-instate my contention that it was crappy. As for Deliverance--I never saw it. I'm sure it was a fine movie and you South Louisianans should be proud. I just hated going through the experience of the book so much, I didn't want to go through it again. I don't see a lot of movies. G'night, Haik.

Sounds vaguely familiar. Monty Python "Meaning of Life"?

It's making me crazy because I know I've heard that ovipositor line. When someone comes up with the answer, I will say, "Of course !" and smack my forhead. It will go something like this:
"Of course !" *smacks forehead*

Right, here's another:
1)
"Our composer? But Mozart belongs to the world."
"And then I stick my ovipositer down your throat and lay eggs in your chest but I'm not an alien!"
2)
"Now place your hands above the rail..."
*hands suddenly attach to the rail*
"...they're magnetized."
"And if your hands were metal, that would mean something."

Want another hint on the mystery actress ? Well, here it is anyway:
Her husband died last summer.

Not Alien.
3)
"Science and Industry!"
"See big men sticking screw drivers into things - turning them - AND ADJUSTING THEM!"
"Build your very own Atom Storage Box!"
"Bringing you state-of-the-art in soft-serve technology!"
"Removes lids off bottles and jars of all sizes - and it really, really works."
