Lady Pennywhistle - Back with a vengeance! [for a certain, limited value of Vengeance; actual amounts of Vengeance may vary]

smiley - wowWheee, I won! And without cheating!!! smiley - boing

Okay, new quote (I almost thought of being mean and making this impossible by quoting an Israeli film, but then decided it wouldn't be fair and picked something else instead):

'What you are, I wouldn't eat!'

smiley - biggrinHello! *waves* It's a movie quote game - one person gives a quote, and then whoever guesses it gives the next one, and so on.

*shrug*

Well, the _full_ quote would be:

'Mr. Rawitz, what you are, I wouldn't eat!'
'How dare you call me a pig!'

I think it's older than that...I have a vague feeling I heard that somewhere. Since I can't remember, but it's strong dejavu, that usually means film class and an old film...

No new guesses? Maybe another clue is in order Lady...smiley - erm

Today I walked out to visit Hamamatsu-jo, the castle that Tokugawa Ieyasu lived in when not in Kyoto or Edo(now Tokyo). For those who don't know Japanese history, Tokugawa Ieyasu was perhaps the man most responsible for changing Japan from a group of warring overlords (daimyo) and uniting it under one government in peace.

Continuing the unification of Japan started by Nobunaga Oda, and later continued by Toyotomi Hideoshi, Ieyasu became Shogun in 1602 and his Shogunate lasted until the Meji revolution/restoration over 200 years later. This is known as the Edo period and for those of you who like James Clavell novels, Ieyasu is the character whom Toranaga is based on in the book SHOGUN.

But anyway, the castle and the surrounding park is a pretty cool place to hangout and study Japanese at.
