I feel like I should keep true to the spirit of the dearly departed[] GodBen, about that water park in the tearoom idea, I guess.
So, in that spirit: We will require a cut of all your profits from the park. 95% sounds fair to me. How's that?

I mean, there's no evidence to the contrary. Which is the important thing. I mean, gotta be obvious really, don't you think? And I told them, you need to actually see the body. It's like rule one. I don't care if you saw the car explode, if you didn't see a body, don't come back here acting all proud. But henchmen can be so unreliable, and----- errr, I mean, I... am kidding. Of course. Yeah. Yes, but for which side? EvilClaw, or the rest of us. And who is GodBen? I can't remember who he was. Maybe I'm having a moment....

A 5% cut should be good enough for the MotMV. I'm bringing in hypothetical business. They can make more money on concessions after paying a tidy rent for the right to sell concessions on their own property that I've built a water park on.

GodBen was a senior MotMV member. I don't remember why he left.

If he's like his namesake, maybe he's hiding in a burning bush on some mountain.

Ach, the times are changing.
GodBen was one of the main members of the MotMV, before he left. If you look at the main page for the MotMV (he designed a big part of it, actually), you'll see him among the four editors listed. Along with Jack, who's been very sick last time I heard from him, and that was years ago, so for all I know he might actually be dearly departed. Jack is one of the original three founders; the other two are Haikeeba (also listed as a page editor) and NuclearConfusion (not listed), who are both back, but only occasionally. The fifth name, Cal, was Jack's life partner, and also a main member, but I haven't seen him around for years, either.
Also, I have no idea what SuperMoo is doing there, but hey. *shrug*


So, after this introduction, where was I? ... Something about money. Eh, whatever.

I don't know if it was closed. All I know is that it popped up in my list of conversations, and I saw that people had posted in it. My browser is slow enough that I rarely go digging into the backlog to find out what has transpired earlier.

Evil Claw does not listen to by orders! I have been transformed by my long absence into quite the rule breaking dashing rogue!

Even if this is the TeaRoom that got closed (we've gone through a few, and I can't remember what's what anymore), it got reopened not long after that whole debacle, I think; the various fluctuations of rooms are mostly about, like you said, when someone posted in a thread and it got bumped up.

Well, that and the unstable spacetime fabric that this whole place is built on. We have more holes and tunnels and dimensional doorways than actual walls.

I'm not sure that I could distinguish between a hole and tunnel.

Call me an old fogey, but I don'tlike to tamper with something that was working fine, such as a thread like this. it was working fine, so why close it and start a new one? So what if it gets as big as the "No No No" thread? Those people know what they're doing, in that sense anyway.
