Is this Shawn guy number 5 or number 6? You list him as both...
~Irving
PS -- Good article, by the way!

Ok, for the record, Craig (5) is #5 and Shawn (6) is #6. Thanks for pointing that out, it would have been real confusing for a sub-editor if they read that.
There was also a small grammar error (*^_^*) that I took the opportunity to correct.
I'm wondering if this article will be accepted. Y'see, Slipknot show no signs of disbanding for a good few years, and since they're an energetic band they'll be doing a couple of major things for sure. So, would this get rejected if it had to be updated every month or two? I hope not...I don't think it would, but maybe...
Perhaps the article concentrates too much on what's already happened to the band. What do you think?

I don't know, I've only written on television shows and bands that stopped producing new material at least a decade ago. To your credit, you had this article up before the most recent issue of The Rolling Stone (with a feature article on Slipknot) was published!

Actually, this was a cancelled lyric page. I uncancelled it and rewrote it about Slipknot.
Sorry to burst my own bubble *^_^*

I'm not entirely sure how that changes anything.

Well you said that I got the article up before the first mention of Slipknot in Rolling Stone. if you're going by the date in the margin of my article, then it's misleading by a month or so. I only wrote it about two weeks ago.

Nah, I'm going by the fact that I read YOUR article before that issue of the Rolling Stone came in the mail

I subscribed at http://www.rollingstone.com/sections/home/text/default.asp where you can get a lot of the articles. The most recent had the Red Hot Chili Peppers on the cover and an article on Slipknot, complete with pictures of the band members (in their masks, of course).A brief blurb on them can be found at http://www.rollingstone.com/sections/artists/text/artistgen.asp?afl=&LookUpString=8360

Well, I can't help you there, except that I do know british pounds are worth more than american dollars

I'm used to this sort of situation. You Americans get it easy . I'm just ~grin~ning and bearing it, and, like I said, the search goes on...

True. I wonder... there are sites that translate any webpage into a different language. Could you do a site that will convert all monetary units?

I'm not sure. I had a thought where you'd just send 'em your £ and they sort it out into $, but then I am totally ignorant on matters like this *^_^*.

Well, over the net you normally just type in your credit card number and it'll do it for you, but I thought that the problem you were having was of not knowing just how much money you were paying, which is where the conversion comes in... if the website can be translated (if a program can change all the "the"s to "le"s and "la"s) then surely it can convert monetary units as well.
Anyway...

Ah, now I get your drift. That's twice I've misunderstood you, I think
I think the rate is something like $1.6 to £1, but then I just don't have a goddamn clue. Probably somewhere online where I can get a difinite figure...any clues?

What we've had here is two failures to communicate I wonder if the problem lies with you or me? I'm afraid I don't know how to find the definite figure
